Hi all each year we raise money for one or two organisations, charities, wards etc, to help and support people with cancer. This year all our fund raising events and help are going to support the fund raising efforts of Dave Oley.
Dave is on the committee at Castle Bromwich Cricket Club and was first to support and help organise our joint charity day with the Cricket Club in August 2014, where we raised over £1500. 2 months after the charity event, Dave then aged 49 was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer which he is receiving treatment for at present.
Daves aim is to raise as much money as he can for the Roy Castle Lung cancer charity and Ward 19 Oncology at Heartlands hospital. His first big milestone is £1000
I will update with all our efforts and those of Daves family and friends to raise this amount.
